A clean job

Circular knives for cutting paper have been designed for an extra clean cut of hygienic paper rolls, such as toilet paper, kitchen paper, paper towels and protective paper sheets for hospital beds and folded paper towels. They cut single or multiple paper layers of cellulose or recycling qualities.

Optimized for high cutting speeds up to 280 strokes/minute and for very dense wound rolls, blade diameters up to 1200 mm

Steel grades in quality rated order:

specifications 1.2235 Chrome-Vanadium 80CrV2 = basis steel with fair wear resistance

• 1.2379 High Chrom/High Carbon X153CrMoV12 = standard steel quality with very good abilities for hardening and, because of a 12% chrome alloy, excellent cutting longevity and wear resistance
• 1.3343 HSS DMo5 S6-5-2 = premium steel for hightest demand in wear resistance and cutting speed

Heat treatment

Hardened and tempered all over to 59 - 61 HRc. or 63 - 65 HRc (HSS) respectively.

Finish of side faces

• With two-sided compound bevel consisting of secondary and primary bevel
• Geometry of bevel optimised for the application.
• Polished bevel for minimum friction.
