Do you know the latest Health & Safety laws relating to saw safety? - Fixed interlock or adjustable guarding to prevent access to the blade (except at the point of operation) or any saw cleaning device during sawing
- Guards must capable of containing any ejected work piece or blade
- Band saw wheels to be guarded by interlocked guards fitted with a single detector actuated in positive mode
- Adjustable guide to be fitted to support the blade during operation and reduce the risk of blade breakage in use
- Work zone guarding at saws with power operated feeds of more than 2m/min
- Pivoting head swas must have self closing guards mechanically interlocked
- Machines to be fitted with either mechanical or manually operated clamping devices (Certain exceptions apply)
