  • Fixed interlock or adjustable guarding to prevent access to the blade (except at the point of operation) or any saw cleaning device during sawing
  • Guards must capable of containing any ejected work piece or blade
  • Band saw wheels to be guarded by interlocked guards fitted with a single detector actuated in positive mode
  • Adjustable guide to be fitted to support the blade during operation and reduce the risk of blade breakage in use
  • Work zone guarding at saws with power operated feeds of more than 2m/min
  • Pivoting head swas must have self closing guards mechanically interlocked
  • Machines to be fitted with either mechanical or manually operated clamping devices (Certain exceptions apply)
